I had plans for fishing the Lake Pontchartrain Train Trestles, Hwy 11 and Twin Span bridges in hopes of finding a few decent trout. Instead I wound up finding a huge flock of birds feeding over the biggest school of redfish I've ever seen. They absolutely destroyed the Ghost Shad and besides having to fight off one super determined Brown Pelican, I had a wonderful time catching and releasing well over a dozen fish between 7 and 12 pounds.
