Swamp Shad
The Swamp Shad is the first cousin to the Storm Minnow. Same size, same paddle tail design but with a solid colored body and chartreuse tail designed for dirty or stained water conditions. We’ve found that dirty water calls for darker colors and pressured or cold water fish sometimes need a bait that triggers a reaction bite. In either case, it’s all about contrast and the Swamp Shad delivers. It’s a great search bait for trout when fished on a ¼ ounce plain jig head under a popping cork or on a spinner bait jig head for bass and redfish. Rig it on a 3/8 or ½ ounce jig head when jigging deeper stained water around bridge pilings in the fall and spring or rig legs in the summer.
