One Color To Rule Them All
Took a short scouting trip with Captain Shawn of Salt Frog Charters. We were looking for trout in preparation for an upcoming charter and wanted to be prepared for the winds that were predicted to build over south Louisiana over the next few days. We also wanted to have a good idea of what color plastics might be a good choice since wind usually brings dirty water and the necessity to change colors if you're fishing plastic baits. It was windy, and the water was dirty so we though we would need to move away from the Croaker color that has been SO productive over the last month to a darker more visible color. We were wrong. The Croaker continued to put trout.. BIG TROUT in the boat as well as a beautiful upper slot redfish.
